Christians will die if
not converted

Rolly Espina Never had Christians been confronted by a life and death threat as the current one they are facing in Iraq where they are threatened to be killed if they refuse to convert to Islam.

That reportedly had reduced the number of Christians in the Kurdish Iraq from one million to just over 100,000 and many more reportedly disappeared who refused to convert.

Now, that is something which should alarm Christians around the world. We have always labored under the impression of a multi-religious policy of the United Nations. And this is just one of the most serious threats to the Christians.

There had been serious threats to Christians the world over, including latest in China where the state had banned the use of crucifixes. In short, Christians must be conscious of the fact that the evil one is threatening to wipe them out from the face of the earth.

And how do we react? How will we react to Christians who eventually succumb to the fear rather than live a life of misery?

God has been loving. And he definitely is one who understands the formidable pressure on Christians when they are threatened with death if they refused to convert.

The problem is that the United States had just authorized the use of air power to protect the refugees in Arvila from the Isis. And the latest report is that they killed 16 ISIS soldiers who were at the checkpoint.

There is need for more assistance to the Christian soldiers of the Kurds. One cannot just threaten the Isis with air power. There are limitations of air power in a war.

But it seems that the US still labor under the illusion that their air power is more than enough to drive the fear of the world power into panic like the Isis. Unfortunately, they as well as the others have already learned the limitation of air power.

And so we focus our attention on what is happening in the case of the Baciwa. The three directors believe that they may have driven to the ground the two opposing directors – Cecilia Henares and Maida Torres.

Thus, one reviews the development from the spiritual side. God in His ways had allowed the rebel directors to commit all the mistakes they can. And ride roughshod over the two.

So, what can we do?

Pray that God will do the things that he wants to do. No not punish the three directors. But rather convert them also. God often does things which our minds cannot fathom. Why? Because he does not want to punish the sinners but give them the chance to convert.

You’ll be surprised at what will still come out of the current situation. He works wonders.*
