House robbed of P74,200
BY SHIELA GELERA

Thieves entered an unlocked house at Cityville Subdivision in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, Monday, and stole about P74,200 worth of gadgets, shoes, wristwatches, and a bag, the police said.

Senior Insp. Benedicto Villarias, Station 4 chief, said yesterday the suspects entered the house of Rigor Bayer, 39, through its main door.

A flat screen led television set worth P20,000, an iPod valued at P30,000, a net book worth P14,000, a cellular phone valued at P5,000, P2,000 worth of wrist watches, a pair of shoes valued at P3,000, and a bag worth P200, were taken away by the suspects, Villarias said.

Investigation showed that the occupants of the house left at about 6:30 a.m. and forgot to lock the main door. The incident was discovered at about 3:30 p.m., Villarias said.

No signs of forced entry were noted in the house, Villarias said.

He said they are following a lead on the identities of the suspects.

The police is urging the public to secure and lock their houses before going to work, as robbers are only waiting for the opportunity to strike, Villarias said.*SGG
