P70M CBA package
inked at SONEDCO

A 5-year Collective Bargaining Agreement that will benefit 289 employees with a total CBA package of about P70 million was signed between the Universal Robina Corp. Sugar Division-SONEDCO and the SONEDCO Workers Free Labor Union  at the  O’ Hotel in  Bacolod City  recently, its press release said.

Amy Amar,  HR manager,  said that having open-communication on the part of the union has given the management the time to reconsider cares and concerns of the employees to come up with a proposal that is acceptable to which the union happily accepted.

Amar also acknowledged and thanked the union and its counsel, Edmundo Manlapao, in behalf of the management.

Renato Yude, SWOFLU union president, thanked the members, their legal counsel, the management and NCMB for the support and their contributions during the negotiation process.

Conciliator-Mediator Marryknol Lourdes Arsenio who facilitated the settlement of the case witnessed the signing.*
