Family to ask for re-autopsy
in death of call center agent
BY SHIELA GELERA

The family of a call center agent, who was found dead in the shower room of her boarding house at Doña Maria Street in Barangay 32, Bacolod City Monday, will request for another autopsy from the National Bureau of Investigation.

The first autopsy conducted on the body of Lorna Casugod, 21, of Brgy. 2 Poblacion in Pontevedra town, Negros Occidental, showed that she had burns on her back and that she had taken alcoholic beverage, Senior Insp. Joefer Cabural, Station 1 chief, said.

Antonio Casugod, her father, said they are not convinced with the result, and will ask for a re-autopsy from the NBI.

Police investigation showed that Lea was allegedly electrocuted while taking a shower, Cabural said.

Lea was naked, lifeless, and lying on the floor of the room while the shower was still on, when her co-boarders found her.

The owner of the boarding house, whose name was not disclosed, had not been reached by the DAILY STAR up to yesterday.

Cabural said they are still investigating whether the owner of the boarding house had lapses that may have led to the incident.

Owners of boarding houses, dormitories and apartments must secure the safety of their renters, the police said.*SGG
