City gov’t finally gives
abattoir bizness permit

At last!

AVM Bernardo Engineering, that operates the Bacolod Slaughterhouse in Brgy. Handumanan, Bacolod City, was finally issued a business permit by the Bacolod City Government after it filed a petition for mandamus against it.

But the original copy of the permit was deposited yesterday by the city at the Regional Trial Court Branch 54, and not to the petitioner.moremoremore

DILG reward up for
Arles slay suspect

The Department of Interior and Local Government is offering a P90,000 reward for the arrest of Rustom Puro, one of the suspects still at large in the murder of Judge Henry Arles, in Ilog, Negros Occidental, April 24, 2012.

Puro, Marvin Salve, Gerald Tabujara, all members of the defunct Revolutionary Proletarian Army-Alex Boncayao Brigade, as well as government employee Emmanuel Medes, who are facing murder charges for the death of Arles, are still at-large.

Puro is listed among the most-wanted persons in Western Visayas,with corresponding rewards offered by the DILG, for their immediate arrest.moremoremore

2 killed, 2 hurt in shooting
incidents in Dumaguete

Two men were shot dead, while a couple was wounded in a series of shooting incidents in Dumaguete City this week.

Earl Logronio Baylon, “alias Jimboy”, 34, of Purok 1, Valencia Drive at Lower Batinguel, Dumaguete, was shot dead by a man on a motorcycle at around 5 a.m. yesterday.

Recovered at the crime scene were two empty shells of .45 caliber pistol, one deformed slug of a .45 caliber pistol, and a Honda XR 200 without plate number. moremoremore
