Pope documentary tonight

GMA Network will air the documentary, “Francis: The Pope from the New World” 10:30 p.m. tomorrow on Sunday Night Box Office, produced by the Knights of Columbus in Rome, and tagalized and narrated in Filipino by Jessica Soho, a press release from the station said.

It unveils the personality, passion and extraordinary faith of Pope Francis, the first Pope from Latin America, the first Jesuit and the first to take the name Francis. Within days of becoming Pope, he had captured the hearts of Catholics all over the world through his gestures of humility and care for the common man, yet his background remained largely unknown, the press release also said.

Filmed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, it features interviews with close friends, collaborators, and the official biographer of Jorge Mario Bergoglio; from growing up surrounded by soccer games and tango music, to his defense of the poor and marginalized Buenos Aires residents during his time as archbishop.
