Team Bacolod City at No. 4
in Batang Pinoy medal tally

As of 12 noon yesterday, medal tally in the Batang Pinoy 2014 National Championship showed Bacolod City occupying the No. 4 spot with 9 gold medals, 15 silvers, and 8 bronzes.

Previous year No.1 team Quezon City, stayed on top with 20 gold, 19 silver and 14 bronze medals while Cebu is at No. 2 with 10-4-5 gold-silver-bronze medal count. Muntinlupa edged Bacolod for the No. 3 spot with 10 gold medals and a bronze.

Negros Occidental has yet to win a gold medal after its sepak takraw team from Murcia town settled for silver.

12 teams to compete
in media bowling tilt

Twelve teams will participate in the one-day Negros Press Club/Kapisanan Ng Mga Broadcasters sa Pilipinas Five-man Team Fellowship Bowling Tournament to be held tomorrow starting 10 a.m. at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City, sponsored by the Energy Development Corporation.

NPC president Carla Canet said 12 bowling squads from media outlets in Bacolod City will vie for top honors in the team and individual competition in this year’s media Christmas Bowlfest 2014.

Gift certificates and trophies await the top four teams in the three-game series event.
