The Vaseline Men XTERRA Off-road Triathlon Series, considered as one of the world’s premier off-road triathlon event, will be held for the third time in Cebu next month, a press release from the organizers said.

The race, dubbed as the Vaseline Men XTERRA Championship, is scheduled on March 15 at Liloan, Cebu.

This year, there will be two transition areas. Transition 1 will be at Seafront Beach Resort in Liloan, the starting area for the swim leg and transition to the bike leg, and Transition 2 at Liloan Elementary School track oval, staging area for the end of bike leg, start of the run leg and finish line and the expo area, the press release said.

The championship weekend in Cebu will start with two triathlon events on March 15, the XTERRA Lite and the XTERRA Philippines Championship.

The XTERRA Lite involves a 500-meter swim, 18-kilometer bike and a 5-kilometer run. On the other hand, the XTERRA Philippines Championship involves a more grueling challenge with a 1.5-kilometer swim, 35-kilometer bike and a 10-kilometer run.
