Bacolod Councilor Wilson Gamboa Jr. did not sign the committee report prepared by Councilor Carlos Jose Lopez, chairman Sanggunian Committee on Transportation, involving the operation of the Northbound Terminal in Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City for inclusion in the regular session today.
Gamboa said he noticed items that were deleted in the report like the question raised by Councilor Archie Baribar and that its findings were based on the answer made by terminal operator Crispin Chua.
It was also based on the alibis of Chua on why he failed to request for an approval of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
On the request/recommendation of Lopez that they wait further for an updated report of the City Treasurer’s Office, the Licensing Division Office, City Legal Office and the Office of the Building Official, Gamboa said these were already included in their recommendation.
Gamboa said the call for a joint public hearing on January 16 was for Chua to air his side and answer the allegations against him based on the complaints.
The public hearing was conducted by virtue of the resolutions passed by Baribar and himself in exercise of their legislative oversight function to address complaints and to review contracts, he said*CGS back
