BY SHIELA GELERA

Fire hit a single-storey house at Jesusa Heights Subdivision in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, at about 9:40 a.m. yesterday, records from the City Bureau of Fire Protection showed.

An electrical short circuit of an extension cord was believed to have caused the fire, that destroyed about P100,000 worth of properties.

Investigation by Fire Officer 3 Cornelio Silva showed that the fire started at the north eastern portion of the house owned by Milagros Caimoso. It was put out at about 10:05 a.m., with no casualties and injuries reported.

Residents claimed that no one was in the house when the fire broke.*SGG
