NegOr, DBP sign accord
for P350M hospital loan

A memorandum of agreement was signed yesterday between the Negros Oriental provincial government and the Development Bank of the Philippines for a P350 million loan to fund the completion of the Central Block Building of the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital.
Gov. Roel Degamo and Provincial Treasurer Danilo Mendez signed the MOA in behalf of the province as borrower, and assistant vice president Ma. Ofelia Tesorio, acting head of RMC-Negros, for the DBP as lender.
Tesorio said DBP is renewing its commitment and support to the infrastructure requirements of the province, after having been satisfied with the feasibility and need for the four-storey building, including the purchase of hospital equipment.
| Dumaguete opens The Business Permits and Licensing Division of Dumaguete City yesterday opened its Business One-Stop Shop to allow residents transacting at City Hall easy access to government agencies in the renewal of business permits or application for new ones. The one-stop shop at the second floor of the City Hall will make available the services of the City Engineer's Office, City Planning and Development Office, the City Health Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of Trade and Industry, Social Security System, Bureau of Internal Revenue and PhilHealth to speed up the process in acquiring the business permits. The BOSS is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with no noon break, City Administrator William Ablong said.. |
