MANILA - After being released by Petron last November, Danny Ildefonso rewarded his new team, the Meralco Bolts, with an impressive debut performance in their crucial 92-88 victory over Air 21 Express that made him the unanimous choice as the Accel PBA Press Corps' Player of the Week for the period January 4-5.

Against the Express, "The Demolition Man" tallied 14 points, six rebounds and five assists and made some pivotal plays down the stretch for the Bolts.

The two-time PBA MVP forcefully delivered by nailing his trade mark corner jump shot and dishing off picture-perfect assists to his open teammates.

Meanwhile, Meralco head coach Ryan Gregorio stated that he believes that Ildefonso still has the game.

"He (Ildefonso) really believes he's not yet done, and I'm giving him the opportunity and the stage to do it," he said.*PNA
