| Negros wins 7 team titles Negros Occidental kept the championship in men's football and volleyball, dominated the men and women's badminton, claimed the crown in women's and secondary boys' chess, and reigned in women's taekwondo to capture seven team championships in the 2014 Western Visayas Private Schools Sports Athletic Association held in San Jose, Antique. Bannered by players who regularly see action for Ceres-La Salle FC in national tournaments, the NOPSSCEA football team once again beat perennial rival Iloilo, 4-0, to keep their PRISAA national title-retention bid alive. Also advancing to the nationals is the Negros men's volleyball team from USLS, who survived the challenge from Iloilo, and the men and women's badminton and women's taekwondo elite teams from NOPSSCEA schools who displayed their supremacy in their respective events during the Jan. 8 – 13 competition in Antique. | |||||||||||||||||||
