Capitol's savings P100M,
bonuses set for release
BY CARLA GOMEZ

The P20,000 performance incentive bonus of the Negros Occidental provincial government employees may be released this month, while the P100 million savings of the province from 2013 will be used for various projects, Provincial Budget Officer Jose Percival Salado Jr. said yesterday.

Also to be released is the P5,000 clothing allowance for each Capitol employee, subject to deduction of the cost of their new uniform, he added.

The Capitol uniform committee is meeting on the matter, Salado said.

Salado said the funds for the P20,000 performance incentive bonus for the Capitol employees are included in the 2014 annual budget of the province.

Other benefits due the Capitol employees such as hazard pay and subsistence allowance have also been included in the 2014 budget, but will be subject to tax as required by the Bureau of Internal Revenue, he added.*CPG
