Guv: Lirazan has to improve
BY BY CARLA GOMEZ
Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. yesterday said the performance of Senior Supt. Milko Lirazan, acting Negros Occidental police director, has to improve.
The governor said that on a scale of 1 to 10, he would give Lirazan a 7.5, that is a passing score for his performance, so far.
The police should put more effort into the campaign against illegal gambling and drugs in Negros Occidental, he said.
The governor also called on the mayors of Negros Occidental to help stop illegal gambling which, he said, only worsens the plight of the poor..
