FIL-SINO INVITATIONAL CUP
Absolute, Nestea hurldle
opening day assignment

Absolute Distilled Water held off Synchrotek-Summit, 100-90, while Nestea Iced Tea turned back Foxshox/Decada X-Vitamilk, 93-81, as basketball action in Class A of the Fil-Sino Asia Brewery Inc. Invitational Cup kicked off over the weekend at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

An unnerving 13-0 run from Absolute in the opening quarter momentarily stymied Synchrotek-Summit until they got their bearings, fought back and stayed close at 35-25 at the end of the quarter.

Carl John Oquindo led Absolute’s first quarter surge with 16 points while teammates Mark Binguan and Ren Ren Lacson found their range from the three-point area and combined for 14 points to eclipse Nico Lopingco’s 13 points with three triples for Synchrotek.
