Wife: Slain teacher
a good husband

BY SHIELA GELERA

A kind and responsible husband.

That was how Ronelyn Agravante Gaudiel described her 41-year-old husband, Jojit, who was shot dead by his co-teacher in the campus of the Trinidad Elementary School in Pontevedra town, Negros Occidental, Monday morning.

Ronelyn, said she has no clear details on what really happened to Jojit, and told the DAILY STAR that “Daddy Jit” was a very good husband. He had no vices and his routine was usually just house to school, school to house, she added.

The funeral mass for Gaudiel, who was called by most of his students “Sir Gaudiel”, and “Jit” by those close to him, will be held at the Our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish in Brgy. Miranda, Pontevedra, 1 p.m. tomorrow.

He will be laid to rest at the Pontevedra Catholic Cemetery.

Meanwhile, the parents of TES students requested for unarmed barangay tanods to man the gate, to avoid the same incident from happening in the campus.

On Monday, a mass will be held at the school as closure to the stress debriefing, conducted on the students, teachers and parents.*SGG
