BY ADRIAN NEMES III

Livestock from four barangays in Don Salvador Benedicto town, Negros Occidental, have reportedly died from the cold temperature since last week, Provincial Veterinarian Renante Decena, said yesterday.

Decena said their paravets reported the deaths of two carabaos, three goats, a cow, a sow and four pigs in barangays Bunga, Kumaliskis, Pandanon and Bagong Silang. The total estimated value of these animals is about P100,000.

He said the animals showed symptoms of pneumonia, like coughing and chills.
