List of police chief
nominees returned

BY SHIELA GELERA

The list of nominees for city police director of Bacolod City was returned by the National Police Commission to the PNP Camp Crame, Senior Supt. Edgardo Ordaniel said yesterday.

Ordaniel said he was informed that the list containing three names of officials vying for the position that was passed to the central office of the NAPOLCOM for approval, was returned for review.

Ordaniel, who admitted that he has no idea whether his name is included in the list, said the process will take time. In the meantime, he will stay at the Bacolod City Police Office until the list is approved. He also said he does not know the reason for the return.

The list will again be sent back to the NAPOLCOM by the assigned office of the Camp Crame, Ordaniel said.

All commissioners of the NAPOLCOM and the Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government must confirm the list, and a copy will be sent to the mayor, who will make the choice.

Meanwhile, Ordaniel said his status had not been tackled in his meeting Tuesday with Chief Supt. Josephus Angan, regional police director of Western Visayas, Mayor Monico Puentevella, and Senior Supt. Milko Lirazan, acting provincial director of Negros Occidental.*SGG
