Bidding for
garbage hauling set

BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

The Bids and Awards Committee conducted a pre-bid conference yesterday for garbage hauling in Bacolod City and has set the opening of bids on February 11.

Joining the pre-bid conference were Metrowaste Solidwaste Management Corporation, IPM Construction and EnviroKing Corporation.

BAC chairman Jerome Solinap yesterday said the Approved Budget of the Contract is P90 million.

The contract of Metrowaste expired in November, eight months after the previous administration awarded it to the company.

But because of the Christmas season, where huge volume of garbage was expected, the current administration extended its contract until January.*CGS
