The Negros First Animal Dispersal program, a brain-child of Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon is aimed at safeguarding food security in the province and alleviate poverty.
Under the program, beneficiaries do not get the animals for free as they have to pay back with the same number dispersed to them that will also be distributed to other raisers a year after.
Paravets are stationed in each LGU to conduct animal monitoring, vaccination, and deworming.*APN
