The Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry is batting for the creation of the Negros Small Business Bureau to help prepare micro, small and medium enterprises for the impending ASEAN Fare Trade Agreement implementation, its president, Frank Carbon said yesterday.
At the opening rites of the 2014 Negros business week yesterday at the Robinsons Place Mall in Bacolod City, Carbon said MBCCI is closely coordinating with Board Member Salvador Escalante for the possible passage of an ordinance for NSBB's creation.
He said the agency, that will be managed by a private institution although funded by the provincial government, is aimed at giving assistance to would-be businessmen and small entrepreneurs avail of the services of the government line agencies and financial institutions.
