Will Lisa run?
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Will Lisa Cojuangco-Cruz run for public office in the fourth district of Negros Occidental in 2016?

The daughter of business tycoon Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco Jr. and Gretchen Oppen Cojuangco has reportedly registered to vote in Pontevedra, but Commission on Elections provincial supervisor Jessie Suarez yesterday would not confirm the matter.

A source close to Cojuangco-Cruz would also not confirm the report, and would only say: “We will make the announcement when there is something to announce already.”

It is rumored that Cojuangco-Cruz could either be eyeing the mayorship of Pontevedra or the fourth congressional seat.

Her brother, Carlos “Charlie” Cojuangco, had been congressman of the fourth district for three terms before Rep. Jeffrey Ferrer.

Ferrer is on his third and last term as congressman of the fourth district.*CPG
