The environmental programs of Foundation University in Dumaguete City were cited by the regional office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources during the culminating activity of the Environment Month celebration in Cebu City recently.

He said the school was cited for its continuing advocacy on solid waste management within the institution, and in partnership with five local government units for recycling of used wood (made into trophies), recycling of electronic waste, where the computer central processing units are used as stands for flower pots, charcoal-briquetting and composting using the biomechanical goat.
