Kami Mga Hubin-Boysen led, with Bago City Strikers trailing them, in the ongoing 2014 Sports Communicators of the Philippines Non-Rated Trio Bowling Extravaganza at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.
After three rounds of competition, Boysen, managed by Sonny Elegado, led in the overall standing with 2,880 points, while the visiting Strikers, headed by Ric Abellar, were just seven pins behind with 2873.
Opening day leader Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc/Silverado of Ramon Cecil Silverio was third with 2,835 in the second and third outings.
ASSFBI pin busters, led by Ulysses “D’ Roadrunner” Pacheco, is fourth with 2,829, followed by LDC Aircon, 2,758.
Rounding up the 10-team pack are HTL Team with 2,714; OMJB, 2,694; 69Ner’s, 2,673; SCOOP-Bacolod, 2,632; and Grupo Retirado, 2,526.
Games will resume Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Meanwhile, the one-day SCOOP-Bacolod Non-rated Trio Bowling Tilt will be held today at the Lopue’s East Bowling Center in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City.
Hostilities will start after the 1 p.m. registration of participating squads in the three-game series event.
Bowlers from various duckpin clubs, media outlets, newspaper dealers and newsboys in the province are expected to vie for top honors and cash prizes at stake.
The Inter-school Bowling Tournament will resume 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Super Lanes.
The top 10 teams after the fifth outings will make up the premier division, while the 11th to 20th placers will be classified in the class B category.
The competitors in separate brackets will then play another five rounds to determine the top five survivors to vie for the crown in an up-the-ladder system.*HLG
