President Benigno Aquino III will deliver his most difficult state of the nation address ever on Monday, Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares, said yesterday.

Colmenares, who was in Bacolod City yesterday, said Aquino's SONA will be delivered at a time when he is facing a string of impeachment charges because his administration is hounded by the controversy of the Disbursement Acceleration Program, which the Supreme Court declared unconstitutional.

While many are saying that the impeachment complaints filed by several groups, including Bayan Muna, will not prosper because most congressmen are pro-Aquino, Colmenares believes otherwise.

He added that they don't have enough numbers in Congress to pursue the impeachment complaint but they are still hopeful that it will still prosper.

Colmenares reiterated that he did not received any DAP money to fund his projects.

Meanwhile, Christian Tuayon, Secretary General of the  Bagong Alyansang Makabayan in Negros Occidental, said they are expecting that Aquino will just defend DAP on Monday.

Tuayon said that they also expect Aquino to slam the SC for declaring DAP unconstitutional.

Bagong Alyansang Makabayan and its allied organizations is preparing for a mass mobilization on Monday.

Like Tuayon, Wennie Sancho, labor representative to the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board, is not expecting any good news for the workers during the SONA on Monday.

He said for the last four SONAs, Aquino never mentioned the workers’ plights or his plans to arrest massive unemployment.

Dagatan said these achievements are mere cover-ups for his failure to address pressing social problems in the society today.*APN
