Lightning killed a woman, and injured her husband in Purok Dalia, Brgy. Puey, in Sagay City, Negros Occidental, at about 5 p.m. Thursday.
         
Michelle Fabillo, 21, was found lying face down and unconscious in their house by her relatives, Thursday, reports said.

Michelle’s husband, identified as Sonny Boy, also surnamed Fabillo, fell on the ground and could not remember what had happened to them, reports also said.
         
Investigation showed that it was raining on Thursday when lighting hit the Fabillos who were in the house, police records show.
         
The brother of Michelle said in a television interview that lighting, followed by thunderstorm, occurred that day. He went to the house of his sister to check if their light bulb had gotten busted, and saw the victims lying on the floor.
         
Michelle was declared dead on arrival at the Alfredo Marañon Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Sagay, while her husband was still being treated there.
         
The police said the area where the house of the Fabillos is located, had been experiencing heavy rains, recently.*SGG
