Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. yesterday said the inauguration of the Negros First CyberCentre in Bacolod will be delayed until the end of September.
Marañon said its inauguration was supposed to be held this month but because of the unfinished installation of electrical connections, air conditioning and telephone systems, the inauguration date was moved.
“The date of inauguration of the cybercentre will also be adjusted to the availability of President Benigno Aquino III,” whom he invited to the event, he added..

The next meeting of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board to discuss a petition for an P85 salary increase in Western Visayas is scheduled on August 12, Wennie Sancho, RTWPB labor representative, said yesterday.
Data will be gathered that day to determine if there are supervening conditions to warrant the wage increase, Sancho said.
The General Alliance of Workers Associations, the petitioner of the new wage hike, cited the increase of prices of fuel and basic commodities as supervening events that would warrant the increase.. 


Chic-Boy opens
in Bacolod
Chic-Boy restaurant at the Northway Building at BS Aquino Drive in Bacolod City opens today.
