BF of slain Bacoleña
set for arraignment
BY BY CARLA P. GOMEZ

The boyfriend of a slain Bacolod nurse is expected to be arraigned on murder charges this week in Camden, New Jersey, reports from the United States said yesterday.
Kevin Ambrose, 52, was detained in Atlantic City on Monday for the killing of Jennifer Bongco, 41, and his bail was set at $2 million.

Bongco, who worked as a nurse at Meadow View Nursing and Respiratory Care, was reportedly stabbed multiple times by Ambrose, and left on the side of the road Friday.
Her 5-year-old daughter, Jessica, witnessed the killing of her mother.

Less than 24 hours later, U.S. marshals found Ambrose in Atlantic City's Tropicana Casino and Resort.

Jessica told the police her mother and Ambrose were arguing in the car. Bongco stepped out and Ambrose began hurting her, according to court documents.

On Bongco’s Facebook page, a friend said Ambrose was a low life self-centered control freak, who thought he knew everything. He was an arrogant man, who always got fired, the friend wrote.

Bongco finished high school at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, and her nursing degree at the Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod.

Maria Serena Toledano wrote on Bongco’s Facebook page, “In behalf of the CSA-Bacolod Nursing alumni and the teachers of Jennifer Bongco ...we extend our prayerful condolences to her bereaved family.*CPG
