JSY Transport claims 4th win
in Fil-Sino inter-color tourney

JSY Transport beat Basecom, 93-81, to post their fourth win in six outings and move closer to the semifinals of the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc. Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

In the other game, AACI Trading demolished Royal Star, 93-65.

Chibon Uy, Carlo Chu and Julius Teruel once again starred for JSY Transport as they delivered the points needed for the team to have a comfortable 58-40 advantage at halftime.

RJ Iligan, Adonis Rosales, and Emi Guanzon kept Basecom within striking distance with their three-point bombs even as JSY Transport kept a tight hold on the lead.

In the third quarter, Ritchie Militante scored seven points to sustain Basecom and with Rosales, engineered a mini rally in the payoff period which JSY Transport easily quashed.

Chu finished with a game-high 24 points for JSY Transports, Tiu scored 20, Chibon Uy made 16 points, Teruel hit14, Marc Lo shot 9 and Ardian Ong chipped in 7 points.

Rosales paced Basecom with 18 points while Iligan added Iligan 16, Militante contributed 15, Guanzon had 10 points.

Meanwhile, the matchup between AACI Trading and Royal Star in the second game was an encounter of  two teams with opposite fortunes.

AACI improved to 4-2 after losing its first two games while Royal Star, after winning its first game, hovers on the brink of elimination after absorbing five straight losses.

Eugene Tsai and Devin Villacruz combined for 13 point to put Royal Star on top in the opening quarter at 20-18 even as Robbie Jalandoon sunk three triples for AACI.

Jeremy Coo and Andre Tan made five triples between them while JR Lacson and Brian Coo conspired for 14 points in the shaded area as the Transport guys grabbed the lead at the half, 47-35.

The trio of Luigi Coo, Jalandoon and  Lacson combined for 24 points as AACI posted a 10-point lead at 71-51 end of third quarter. The team never looked back as the lead ballooned in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
