700 families face ejection
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

The city is looking for ways to help about 700 households in Barangay 35, Bacolod City, who are facing ejection, Bacolod City Administrator Rolando Villamor said yesterday.

The house owners who are informal settlers in Brgy. 35 will be ejected since the property is under the jurisdiction of the Presidential Commission on Good Government, Villamor said in an interview over DYWB yesterday.

He said there was a negotiation before that the informal settlers will buy the property but they disagreed on the price.

He said they have to study what the city can do in case PCGG pursues the ejectment.

Villamor said representatives from PCGG will be in Bacolod next week for this new development.*CGS
