A night of thanks
and merriment
Newly-minted lawyer, Alberto “Baba” Nellas Jr., and his parents, Bert and Lang Nellas, hosted a thanksgiving dinner at the grand ballroom of the Sugarland Hotel in Bacolod City recently, to show their appreciation to those who offered prayers and good wishes for Baba’s passing of the 2014 Bar Examination.
The event was a night of fellowship, joy, and laughter among family and close friends, including the grade school and high school classmates of Baba, and his USLS law school professors, batchmates, and friends. Members of the Rotary Club of Bacolod North, of which Bert Nellas was past president, were also on hand to enjoy the evening.
The program was opened by the solemn yet powerful rendition of the “The Prayer” by Jinno Garcia and Marjo Aguirre. Enzo Ampil performed a superb violin rendition of “Somewhere in Time” and “Summer” by Vivalde.
It was indeed a memorable celebration of thanksgiving. Baba said all these good things would not have been possible without God’s grace and mercy, and to Him shall be the Glory!* |
