600 neophyte police officers
to augment Negros, Panay

BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Police units in Negros and Panay will soon be augmented by neophyte police officers, with the completion by 600 recruits of the six-month basic police training on June 13 at the Regional Training School 6 in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

After their training at the RTS 6, the neophyte police officers are also slated to undergo a 45-day training on PNP SCOUT.

Senior Inspector Castle Masip, a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy, who spoke at the graduation rites, reminded recruits of the virtues of honor, integrity and service, as necessities for upright law enforcement officers.

Masip, who is the jail warden of the Bacolod District Jail male dormitory, said that virtues should be the foundation in exercising the duties and responsibilities of police officers.

He also reminded them that they should be model citizens in their actions.*GPB
