Senior citizens’ group
holds induction

The Senior Citizens Association of Barangay 10, or SCAB-10, officers were inducted into the Federation of Senior Citizens Associations of Bacolod City Inc. by its president, Pedrito Esquilla, in Barangay 16, Bacolod, recently, a press release from the group said.

The officers are Camelito Rojo, president; Mike Baylon, vice president; Tessie Cordova, secretary; Rita Tolentino, auditor; and Cora Dumip-ig, public information officer. Members of the Board of Directors are Virginia Tupaz, Yvonnie Alpis, Nita de la Serena, Dominador Halikhik, Ardena Dezosa, Remedies Merwar, Manuel Sabolbora, Miguel de la Cruz and Ana Blanco, the press release also said.

They were briefed by Esquilla on their special privileges and benefits as senior citizens, under Republic Act 7432, as amended by RA 9257, or the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2003, the press release added.*
