Bacolod City Councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue was named Information Technology-Business Process Management Individual Contributor of the Year at the Shangri-La Hotel in Makati City Thursday night, a press release said.
Batapa-Sigue bested Fred Ayala, chief executive officer of LiveIt Solutions Inc., Miguel Garcia of DTSI Group, and Danilo Sebastian Reyes, Genpact Philippines, the press release said.
It added that, Batapa-Sigue, who is the first winner outside Metro Manila since it started in 2007, is sharing the award to all the ICT councils, the press release said.
Cora dela Cruz, chair of the ICT Awards Organizing Committee, had earlier said it was a competitive selection process and that the judging panel was based solely on information and supporting documents submitted to them, the press release said.
The annual event was proposed by Richard Mills, then vice president of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, s in cooperation with the Business Process Outsourcing of the Philippines.
SPI Global was named Best Employer of the Year with Accenture as its runner up, LexMark won Best in Shared Services, Microsourcing as best Best Non-Voice Company Excellence Awardee with Maersk Global Service Centre as its runner up.
The Results Company was Best Voice Excellence Company of the Year, the press release added.*APN
