The first solo exhibition of Claudine Joyce “Cindy” Ballesteros, titled “Candy Colored Skies”, will open at 7 tonight at the Gallery Orange in Mandalagan, Bacolod City, and will run until March 31, a press release from the gallery said.
The opening rites will be led by businessman Bong Lopue, TV and film director Lore Reyes and Negros Occidental Provincial Elections Supervisor Jessie Suarez. The exhibit can be viewed for free, 2 to 9 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays, the press release also said.
It will show works in oil on canvas of Ballesteros, both a Johnian and a La Sallian, and a member of the USLS Production Support Group, ReAl Entertainment Inc., and Crossing Negros Cultural Foundation Inc. Her works have been shown in 25 group exhibitions in Negros and Dumaguete City since 2005, the press release said.
Her first solo exhibition is a birthday gift for herself, and a way of making peace with her father, who passed away shy of a reconciliation, the press release added.* back to top
