Ceres FC sets eyes
on int'l success
The current build-up of the Ceres – La Salle Football Club aims for sporting glory beyond national boundaries.
This was reiterated by club head coach, Ali Bernard Rojas Go, at the press conference and signing ceremony for five more players held in Bacolod City yesterday.
The five signees are Azkal member Carlos Alberto Martinez De Murga Olaivar, Venice, Italy-born twins Marvin and Marwin Angeles, former St. La Salle standout Arnie Pasinabo and German national Kevin Umberto Capolei, who was born in Italy.
| Bermejo bags Irene Therese Bermejo of Bacolod City displayed her taekwondo skills in the international scene after plucking the silver medal in the 10 th WTF World Juniors Taekwondo Championships held this week in Taipei City, Taiwan. Bermejo fell short of winning the gold in Taipei Tuesday afternoon after bowing to Abigail Stones of United Kingdom, 6-7, in the sudden death round. The Bacoleña taekwondo jin debuted in Taipei with a 9-6 win against Teeranart Khamnuan of Thailand, then followed it up with an overwhelming 16-2 victory against Rodina Mahmoud of Egypt in her second fight. |
| 2ND BCAN camp Basketball Coaches Association of Negros will start its 2 ND Summer Camp on March 31 at St. John's Institute here in Bacolod City, a BCAN press release said. BCAN president Bobby Tee said the complete schedule of this year's basketball camp is March 31 up to April 4 and April 7 to 10 from 2 pm. To 4:30 p.m.. Each camper is entitled to one rubber basketball and two t-shirts upon registration, the press release said. |
