After being a finalist for two consecutive years, DYEZ AM-Aksyon Radyo Bacolod of Manila Broadcasting Company topped the Best AM Station-Provincial Category at the 22 nd KBP Golden Dove Awards held at the Star Theatre, Star City Complex, Pasay City, Tuesday.

Aksyon Radyo Bacolod bested four other AM stations, DYRC Aksyon Radyo Cebu and DYOK Aksyon Radyo Iloilo, both of the Manila Broadcasting Company, DZLG Bombo Radyo Legaspi and DYHB RMN-Bacolod, a press release from DYEZ said yesterday.

Station manager JJ Deocampo dedicated the award to all the employees and drama talents of the station, its advertisers and, most of all, its listeners. He also shared the award with the other finalists.

Aksyon Radyo Bacolod was also nominated for Best Radio Public Affairs Program-Provincial for “Sa Tuig sg kalayo: The Year End Report 2012,” and for Best Radio Variety Program for the station's amateur singing competition, Aksyon Jamboree.

Previous KBP Golden Dove Awards received by the station include Best Public Affairs Program for Aksyon Hotline in 1996 and Best Drama Program for radio for “Puerte nga Ability.” *
