Marañon holds consultation

Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon, Jr. consulted the people on their immediate concerns and urged them to cooperate with the programs of the government for the improvement of the countryside, during the Community Development Planning held in Brgy. Cambayobo, Municipality of Calatrava, Monday, a press release from the Capitol said yesterday.

The activity is a program of the Provincial Peace Integration and Development Unit of the provincial government in collaboration with the Philippine Army through the 303rd Infantry Brigade, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, government agencies and other non-government organizations.

Pro-PIDU is under the Negros First Development Agenda of the provincial government, the press release said.

Marañon pledged to provide them with a potable water system project provided that they identify a sufficient water source and present a project proposal.

He also discussed the Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program for indigents, the press release said.*
