There were 143 employees of the Bacolod City Water District who joined the Leak Awareness Campaign spearheaded by its Commercial Department recently, a press release from BACIWA said.

The group discovered 23 leakages, two defective gate valves, and one defective lockwing.

Areas covered were Purok Bulak, L.N. Agustin, Villa Georgina, Estanzia, and Grand Estanzia Subdivisions, Barangay Bata, Montebello, Magdalene. St. Anne, Mountain View and Villa Valderrama Subdivisions, the press release said.

The activity is part of the firm's campaign to lower its non-revenue water rates, it added.*
