DSWD-7 to install
CIU satellite offices
The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VII will put up two satellite offices of the Crisis Intervention Unit in Cebu to accommodate more clients, and enhance the implementation of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation program, it said in a press release.
The AICS is part of the DSWD services for the poor, marginalized and vulnerable individuals. The program has been implemented as part of the technical assistance and resource augmentation support of the agency to local government units.
The AICS is implemented by the CIU and has satellite offices in Negros Oriental, Cebu, Bohol, and Siquijor, through the Social Welfare and Development Team Office, or the Provincial Operations Office in each province, the press release said..

Dumaguete SP lauds
highway patrol men
The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Dumaguete City commended members of the Provincial Highway Patrol Group for their pursuit of peace and development, and major operational and administrative accomplishments recently, a government press release said.
The SP approved Resolution 164 series of 2014, on motion of Councilor Antonio Remollo, and seconded by councilors Manuel Arbon, Lilani Ramon, Lionel Banogon and Manuel Patrimonio, that lauded Inspector Robelito Mariano, HPG provincial officer, and his team members, SPO1 Aurelio Bodo, PO3 Jerome Nochefranca and PO1 Jonard Dagangan, the press release also said.
The HPG, in its effort to curb carnapping activities in Dumaguete and in Negros Oriental, have neutralized various carnapping groups, and recovered stolen cars, and motorcycles, and their chop-chop parts, the resolution added.   |
