8 vying for
Miss Dumaguete

The talent night and presentation of the eight candidates vying for the Miss Dumaguete 2014 title, will be held 6 p.m. on November 16 at the Quezon Park in Dumaguete City.

They are Lineth Avanzado, Ritchlie Cais, Mendy Mae de Guia, Crichele Geralde, Menchit Maraña, Maria Catherine Mirasol, Kae Lena Nuique, and Malka Shaver.

A press release from City Tourism Officer Woodrow Maquiling Jr said that coronation night will be at 8 p.m. on November 21 at the Negros Oriental Convention Center, also in Dumaguete.

Meanwhile, seven schools will join the 2014 Sandurot Festival on November 22, and the Dumaguete City government has set aside P70,000 as subsidy for each entry, which are Saint Louis School-Don Bosco, Colegio de Sta. Catalina de Alejandria, Asian College, Foundation University, Saint Paul University Dumaguete, Dumaguete City High School, and Metro Dumaguete College.

The Sandurot street dancing will start 3 p.m. and the showdown 5 p.m., at the City Hall Quadrangle.*RG
