MANILA -- Collections by the Operations and Regional Offices divisions of the Bureau of Internal Revenue boosted the agency’s revenues in October 2014 to P101.8 billion.
BIR data released Monday showed that total collections of the agency in the first 10 months this year rose by 6.5 percent year-on-year compared to the P95.6 billion same period in 2013.
However, the agency failed to meet its P114.45 billion collection goal for the month.
In a statement, the agency said revenues of BIR operations last October reached P99.64 billion, higher by 6.88 percent against year-ago’s P93.22 billion.
Also, the Regional Offices collected P39.6 billion, 21.08 percent higher than the P32.72 billion it made in October 2013.
On the other than, the non-BIR operations posted an 8.6 percent drop in its collections to P2.16 billion from P2.36 billion same period last year.
Also, collections by the Large Taxpayers Service (LTS) fell 0.79 percent to P60.03 billion compared to year-ago’s P60.51 billion.
The agency has been posting sustained growth in its revenues in line with the strengthened tax collection efforts.
