Teves 66th Dumaguete
Charter Day speaker

BY RENE GENOVE

Former Rep. Herminio Teves will be the guest speaker at the 66th Dumaguete City Charter Day celebration at the Quezon Park in Dumaguete today.

Teves will talk about the coming power shortage in the Philippines as what the Energy Department had been predicting. He is asking for the amendment of the Electric Power Industry Reform Act, to focus on the consumers’ welfare and not on the investors.

Energy Secretary Jericho Petilla had said the peak load for Dumaguete and in the Visayas area will be in December, with the put up of Christmas lights and other electric-dependent decorations.*RG
