Bacolod City is considered one of the areas where the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office will launch its newest game, the Peryahan Games.
PCSO acting chairman and general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas ll informed Bacolod Mayor Monico Puentevella of this in a letter dated July 24.
Rojas said that on April 2, PCSO approved the one year experimental test-run of the Peryahan Games and authorized Globaltech Mobile Online Corp. (Globaltech) as its provider, distributor and system supplier.
Rojas said the PCSO will provide shares from gross sales of the games allocated as 2 percent of the 30 percent charity fund based on the gross sales/receipts of the games within the province, and 5 percent of the 30 percent charity fund based on the gross sales/receipts of the games within the city/municipality.
Rojas said its operations will open job opportunities for the residents of the local government units.
Globaltech president Jose Gregorio Aguiling, in a letter dated November 4 to Puentevella said that representatives from Globaltech will make a formal presentation to him on the proposed Peryahan Games.
Vice Mayor Greg Gasataya yesterday said he has not officially received any information or communication from the Sangguniang Panlungsod on the matter.
Gasataya said online gaming and other operations that require the use of computers need to pass through the SP for the issuance of a Resolution of No Objection as in previous instances involving the PCSO.*CGS
