ESD Electronz, Davies
reign in Sharp bowlfest

ESD Electronz II bagged the title in the premiere division, and Davies II and Condura ASSFBI Ladies II in the men’s non-rated and women’s bracket of the 27th Sharp Friendship Cup 2014 at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

Reymund Lopez of Sharp Aquos and Tess Robles of ASSFBI led in the battle of the top 10 bowlers in their categories, while Davies bet Edgar Jerez was champion in the Fun Games event joined by rated and non-rated players from bowling clubs.

ESD II represented by Wilson Casas, Nonoy Ayagan and Odong Paran dismissed the twice to beat advantage of Aquos composed of Nonoy Hulguin, Edgar De Leon, Reymund Lopez and Fred Empio in two games, 326-324 and 335-328 to bag the top prize in the premiere class.

Paran scored 113 points for Electronz, while Lopez and Hulguin toppled 115 and 114 each for Sharp.

The champion team earned the right to challenge Sharp I with a victory over Mulo Car Aircon headed by Romulo Ramos in the semis, 324-305.

Mulo Aircon defeated Sharp II in the quarterfinals, 321-309, to advance to the semifinals.

In the non-rated division, Davies II beat Flores Team, 369-331 to win the title.

Playing for Davies were Edgar Jerez, Munching Guinson, Marlon Faisan and Cyril, while Roger Flores, Rene Buencuchillo and Toto Flores for FT.

Jerez led for class B champion with 137 points, and Faisan with 119. Buencuchillo top scored for FT with121.

Canvil Knights was second runner-up after losing to Flores Team in semis, 299-348, and Davies III was third runner-up.

The ladies champion was ASSFBI Condura Ladies and sister team Condura I first runner-up.

The ASSFBI II members were Cheryl Ramos, Tess Robles, Precy Pillo and Arlene Memoria.

Tiger Eye and RJ Stars/NPBC were second and third runners-up, respectively.

Consolation prize winners were Special Technics and Philippine Daily Inquirer, and The Snipers for the women’s department.

The team and individual record holders were Sharp Aquos II in single with 405, and Mulo car Aircon in triple with 1,106 in the men’s division; Condura II in the women’s single and double with 376 and 678, apiece;

Norman Pineda (Silverado) in pinning with 94;; Hernand Garciniego (NPBC RJ Stars) in single with 153, and Boy Tisoy Villanueva (Mulo Aircon) in triple with 393 in the men’s bracket;

Lars del Castillo (Racahe) in the women’s pinning with 93; Cheryl Ramos (Condura) in single with 154, and Mae Memoracion (RJ Stars/NPBC) in double with 256.

Meanwhile, a Trio Fun Derby will be held at the Super Bowling Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City, tomorrow starting at 6 p.m.
