Dael leads LOPTTA players in
Jawad Cup’s successful stint

No. 1 national junior girl player Emy Rose Dael won two championships to lead the players from the Bacolod City-based Lopue’s Table Tennis Association in dominating the 23rd Jawad’s Cup National Table Tennis Open held in Cebu, recently, a press release from LOPTTA president Leonito Lopue said.

LOPTTA players should be commended for beating fellow their rivals, including those from other clubs in Bacolod City, as they demonstrated their outstanding skills during the tournament, Lopez said in the press release.

LOPTTA captured six gold medals, three silvers, and three bronzes, with Dael leading the surge in both women’s singles open and girls 18 years old and under categories.

ESD Electronz, Davies
reign in Sharp bowlfest

ESD Electronz II bagged the title in the premiere division, and Davies II and Condura ASSFBI Ladies II in the men’s non-rated and women’s bracket of the 27th Sharp Friendship Cup 2014 at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

Reymund Lopez of Sharp Aquos and Tess Robles of ASSFBI led in the battle of the top 10 bowlers in their categories, while Davies bet Edgar Jerez was champion in the Fun Games event joined by rated and non-rated players from bowling clubs.

ESD II represented by Wilson Casas, Nonoy Ayagan and Odong Paran dismissed the twice to beat advantage of Aquos composed of Nonoy Hulguin, Edgar De Leon, Reymund Lopez and Fred Empio in two games, 326-324 and 335-328 to bag the top prize in the premiere class.

top NOPSSCEA table tennis

Bacolod Christian College of Negros booked the championship in the secondary boys’ team event, while St. Scholastica’s Academy reigned in secondary and elementary girls’ team event to lead the winners in NOPSSCEA Season 34 badminton competition held at the LOPTTA club house in Lopue’s San Sebastian Annex Bldg, in Bacolod City.

The elementary boys’ team event competition was dominated by House of Praise with Ken Andrei Memoria winning the championship in elementary boys’ singles event as Mark Alfonso Landabora of BTTHS placed first runner-up.

Trinity Christian School settled for first runner-up honors in the secondary boys’ team event, while St. Joseph School – La Salle picked up the second runner-up honors.
