Central Negros Electric Cooperative is informing its consumers that the residential rate for the October 2014 billing is P10.3297/kWh, an increase of P0.5820/kWh from last month’s P9.7477/kWh.
The upward adjustment in CENECO’s effective rate can be mainly attributed to the increase in market prices due to constraint in the High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) submarine cable connecting Luzon Grid and Visayas Grid, a Ceneco press release said.
CENECO said the Generation Charges and Transmission Charges are pass-through charges being billed to CENECO by its power suppliers and transmission service provider. The Distribution Charges, which are charges pertaining to CENECO, remain constant, it said.*
