BIR exceeds September goal

MANILA -- Higher collection by the Bureau of Internal Revenue's  Large Taxpayers Service enabled the agency to exceed by 2.64 percent is collection target for September 2014.

In a statement, the agency said its revenues last September reached P105.71 billion, higher than its P102.99 billion goal and year-ago’s collection amounting to P86.04 billion.

This after the LTS surpassed its P60.53 billion target for the month and registered P66.17 billion revenues.

The sub-sector’s collection last month is also higher than the P49.49 billion it collected in September 2013.

Also, collections from BIR operations beat the month’s P98.57 billion target after total revenues last September reached P101.63 billion, also higher than year-ago’s P81.76 billion revenues.

On the other hand, revenues from non-BIR operations reached P4.08 billion, short of the sector’s P4.418 billion target for the month.

Its collection is also lower than the P4.28 billion it made same period in 2013.

Relatively, revenues of the Regional Offices amounted to P35.47 billion, lower than its P39.26 billion goal last September.

It, however, is higher than sub-sector’s P32.27 billion collection same period last year.*PNA
