Another young Bacoleño cager is carving his name in the national scene as Sam Joseph Belangel joins an elite team of students who will display their skills in front of former NBA star Yao Ming in Beijing, China.

Belangel, a former standout at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School, along with fellow Filipino Jr. NBAers Vince Leo Dolando, David Umadhay, Rhayyan Amsali and Luigi Velasco were n Beijing recently for the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA All Stars.

The Filipinos played with the select students of the NBA Yao School in a pair of pick-up games with Yao Ming himself, along with former NBA stars Sam Perkins, Vlade Divac and Peja Stojakovic watching from the sidelines.

Their women counterparts Karl Ann Pingol, Arielle Marie Lanot, MJ Pascual, Roxanne Salvador and Kreecie Bettina Bianohan also displayed their skills and talent during the games.

Presents at the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA All Stars in Beijing were NBA Asia’s Scott Levy and NBA Philippines’ Carlo Singson. The trip of the delegation from the Philippines was bankrolled by Alaska Milk and NBA. *NAB
